What to expect
You'll be greeted by name if you've been before. By a server who's glad you're here if you haven't.
The menu is Cantonese and Japanese — pure technique, sourced ingredients, nothing diluted. À la carte from €10. Six Courses or Seven Courses if you want the longer journey.
We don't rush. We don't whisper. We don't dress you down for what you wear. The kitchen takes itself seriously so the room doesn't have to.

Is there a dress code? +
Smart casual. Your style is welcome — we don't enforce a dress code, and we never comment on what you wear. Come as you are.
How early should I book? +
Friday and Saturday evenings: book 1–2 weeks ahead. Tuesday–Thursday: same-day or 2–3 days is usually fine. For groups of eight or more, send your dates 2–12 weeks ahead via events@michiu.nl.
What if I'm running late? +
Tell us. We hold tables for 15 minutes by default. If you're running later, a quick call or message lets us pace your evening properly.
Allergies and dietary requirements? +
Tell us at booking. We accommodate vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, halal, and most allergies — with notice. The kitchen handles allergens with a separate prep flow.
Do you have private dining? +
For groups of eight or more, we have a dedicated private section. Pre-arranged menus, single point of contact, smooth corporate billing. See our groups page for details.
Can I bring children? +
Yes — children are welcome. We don't have a kids menu, but the kitchen is happy to prepare simpler dishes on request.
First visit — what should I expect? +
We'll walk you through the menu, suggest dishes based on what you enjoy, and pace the meal to match your evening. No tests. No theater. The kitchen is serious; the room isn't.
